Regina Mcnish a faithful servant to the Lord Jesus Christ and a wife to her wonderful husband Keary Mcnish. Regina is the President & Creative Director for a community based praise dance ministry “We Fight to Tell Stories” (WFTTS). WFTTS is special because it allows youth from 4-18 years old express their stories through dance and worship. Also, Regina is a member of the ARK CHURCH under the leadership of Pastor Allen Jackson. She was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale Fl. From an early age she knew her life was different. She would always find a secluded spot to write, sing or dance. Her passion for Christ has allowed her to evolve and in the midst of it all seek God.

JL: Where were you born?

RM: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

JL: What part of Haiti are your parents from?

RM: My parents were born in La’torture, Haiti. Raised in Port-de-Paix

JL: Have you ever visited Haiti before?

RM: No, I have tried many times but failed due to unforeseen circumstances.

JL: Describe your business in one statement

RM: We fight to tell stories; our stories matter!

JL: When did you find Jesus and how did it change your life?

RM: I found Jesus at a very young age. Then decided that the world had so much to offer, when I finally came back to Christ I was 27 years old and my life has been forever changed.

JL: What is your favorite bible verse(s)?

RM: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”

JL: What’s your “why” and how did that help you start (business name)?

RM: My “why “is the reason why I’m here. It helped me start my business because I was able to scan my life and see that everything I went through was on purpose. I realized that the best moments of my life was when I was able to express myself through praise dance.

JL: How do you balance everything?

RM: Balance is still something I’m trying to acquire. Trying to juggle a business, marriage, work and motherhood is not something that can be easily perfected. I just try to my best to move according to his will and his way.

JL: Can you share an A-ha moment?

RM: My a-ha moment is when my business partner decided that she wanted to resign? It affected me until God showed me that He is all that I need to make this ministry what He has already predestined it be.

JL: What has been a discouraging moment during your journey as a business owner and how did you overcome it?

RM: My discouraging moment are finances, because it’s a Christian organization I never want any parent to feel as if they cant afford it, so their child cant participate. I overcome it every time because I trust God.

JL: Do you have any last encouraging words for women who are sitting on their purpose?

RM: Yes. Be obedient! Trust God not man. Don’t be afraid to fail. Everything else will fall into place. My greatest fear was to fail, I have several times until I decided to let go and allow God to take control. I’m not where I want to be but definitely a lot farther then where I was.
